Because of their high value, when rhinos die within the park, park guard remove the horn that is then locked within a vault in park offices. Likewise, confiscated horns are locked up here. When I visited this office, I found a scrapbook put together by range officer Dharanidhar "D.D." Boro chronicling his successes, photos of apprehended poachers, confiscated firearms, animal parts and poachers he and his men had killed.
