Park guards live deep within Kaziranga National Park for three month stretches and conduct daily poaching patrols, often on foot. It's a poorly paid and dangerous job - both because of heavily-armed poachers that often outgun them - and because of the animals that live in the park: elephants, rhinos, tigers, cobras, wild boar, etc.
