"It's Time in Flint"
Flint's best kept secret' and it's not out there. The
knowledge is in a storage bin, kept quietly. This is where it's at,' said
Kathryn Williams of Flint, curator of the homeless Museum of Afrikan Ancestry
and Research Center. She's started in the 70's but has been unable to obtain
funding to make a permanent space a reality. 'I've been told by some it's not
time yet. It's time in Flint. What I've been doing these 20-years is trying
to deprogram people's minds regarding their ancestry and that were here for
365 (days) not just January, February and Kwanzaa.'
