"Peace Garden"
'I've seen Flint in its heyday because I was in it.
It's not its heyday now. It's a sad day for the city, how its gone down. I'm
hoping this little section here will change attitudes in this area. I can't
do it for the whole city but maybe for this little section I can,' said Dan
Anderson. For eight year he has been helping to provide summer jobs. He has
created a 'Peace Garden' next to his home on abandoned, vacant lots with the
help of grants and using workers from the Summer Youth Initiative program.
