"New Found Talents"
Volunteer Kathy Krampe (right) designed and helped
build a float for the Friendship Club at Dillon Elementary School to use in
the Memorial Day parade after she she saw no parents step forward for her
niece's classroom. 'We're putting all the Michigan soldiers' names who died
in Iraq on the back. That should touch a few people, I hope. I want to make a
float to remember. This is an opportunity to touch some other people's lives.
Its' a way to show even the kids remember,' Krampe said. Krampe is a stock clerk
at a local grocery store and is taking night classes to follow her dream of a
career in art.
