"Mental Health System in Ruins"
Frandy Joseph kisses his mother Guerda Jospeh's hand as she lays, in a state of catatonic depresssion in her bed in the internal medicine wing at General Hospital in Port Au Prince. Guerda was prone to depression before the quake but descended into this near catatonic state after she was pulled from the rubble of her home. She doesn't speak and lies expressionless and all but motionless in her bed at the hospital. Joseph died weeks later.
