Evencia Jean, 12, carried a jug of water back to her family's tent in the massive refugee camp on hills below the Petionville Country Club, site of a former golf course and gathering place of Haiti's wealthy elite. Evencia made four trips for water, each time walking about a half mile each way down and back up the hill. She was completely exhausted and only able to carry half a bucket by the last trip. Three months after the earthquake the camp housed an estimated sixty thousand displaced Haitians including over twenty-five thousand children.
