"THE CHAIN GANG, POLITICS AND PUNISHMENT"
In Maricopa County, one of the largest regions of Arizona, a sheriff is trying to be re-elected. Sheriff Joe Arpaio calls himself “Americas toughest sheriff” and uses controversial methods that has gained him notoriety and fame. One of these is the so called female “Chain gangs”. The system was banned in the rest of the USA in the fifties but was reinstated by Arpaio, the sheriff of for men in 1995 and women a few years later.
