Linda Bates is a resident of West Dallas who grew up living near the former lead smelter. She addressed the Dallas City Council at their regular meeting about her concerns over lead exposure. Ms. Bates grew up in West Dallas near the former lead smelter and has been attending Dallas City Council meetings for years to try to get help for residents there.
