"THE BURDEN OF LEAD: WEST DALLAS FEELS IGNORED AFTER YEARS OF DESPAIR"

Of the three McCadden brothers diagnosed with ADHD, Evan, 10, who is also diagnosed as non-verbal, is the most severely impaired. He briefly snuggled with his father, John McCadden, on the sofa in their Frisco home, but then abruptly left to resume his movie on the computer. The McCadden family, who moved to another area in Frisco, Texas after discovering the possible threats of lead exposure from Exide Technologies, believes that their three boys, who have been diagnosed with ADHD, suffered learning disabilities and impairments because of the lead exposure. Colette MCadden, not pictured, started her research into the issue years ago and has become one of the core members of Frisco Unleaded, a group dedicated to making sure the most stringent laws are followed to clean up Frisco.
