"THE BURDEN OF LEAD: WEST DALLAS FEELS IGNORED AFTER YEARS OF DESPAIR"
Residents and former residents of West Dallas gathered for a community rally in a vacant lot across from Pinkston High School on Dennison Street. Organizers were trying to get people signed up as volunteers to help launch a survey later this month to go house-to-house and complete the survey questions of the area's residents to track past contamination from the lead smelter and other industries.
