Since the "anti-balaka" militia forces began raging against the Muslim population it is estimated that only 20,000 of almost a million Muslims remain in the country today. The people - mostly women, children and elderly - riding in this convoy are destined for a refugee camp in Cameroon, one of a handful of neighboring countries that have taken in refugees.
