Pearl Harbor survivor Howard Bender, 92, is helped out as he leaves the Chapter 14 meeting of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association for the last time as dwindling numbers forced it to close. The final meeting had only three survivors in attendance at American Legion Post 716 where the association has had its chapter since 1971. The attack on Pearl Harbor took place on December 7, 1941.
