"FLEEING THE WAR IN LIBYA"

Men who have fled the unrest in Libya, are stranded on the border with Tunisia. They are for the most part foreign guest workers from Egypt, Bangladesh and Tunisia, but there were also men from countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Pakistan, Ghana and Somalia.

Many of the first refugees to arrive in Tunisia spent up to six nights sleeping under an open sky before they were picked up and delivered to the airport or moved to a UNCHR transit-camp 7km away. In the transit-camp the men were forced to wait indefinitely for their turn to be transported home either by air or sea.
