"Frozen Land - Forgotten People"
Ashkii Nez Whiterock, 2, and his older brother, Zeke Whiterock, 6, remove ash and add logs to the wood stove in the families trailer in Cameron, Arizona. The family lives in the former Bennett Freeze area without water or electricity and relies on the wood stove to keep the trailer warm during the winter. The wood is cut down in the forest and hauled from some 30 miles away and is costly for the family. Because the children's father died two months ago, now Zeke, 6, takes on the tradition of tending to the fire for the family, a chore he used to watch his Father do.
