"The Driest Seasons: California's Dust Bowl"
Francisco Galvez, sits on the floor of his home as a Mormon missionary makes her pitch to him and his family. Galvez has hit hard times compounded by the fact that his furniture was stolen during a recent break in. There has been little work for the 35-year-old and he is having a tough time providing for his family. Drought has ravaged towns in the western San Joaquin Valley. Huron has seen its population move on to other states and cities where there is more work.
