Iran's Lake Urmia, the largest lake in the Middle East and the world's fourth largest salt lake, is shrinking fast, endangering local wildlife and threatening local agriculture.
Men cover themselves with black mud on the shore of Lake Urmia, a salt lake in the province of West Azerbaijan. The salt and mineral rich mud are reputed to have healing properties especially for skin and rheumatic afflictions.
