Ten-year-old Erica lies on the couch at home, too tired to walk or stand after a months stay in hospital recovering from gun shot wounds. Her neighbors, too young to understand the meaning of what they are doing, flash gang signs as they play. Erica will have to learn to walk again using her nerve-damaged leg. She knows she has a long recovery ahead of her after being shot by a convicted gang member three times.
