Two friends, Keyshae, left, and Ahvriel, embrace in front of the home where 21-year-old Miss Welch was shot and killed in Compton, CA. Welch had been sitting on the porch with several friends when a gang member approached from the street and opened fire. Welch was struck in the chest, staggered into the living room and collapsed in her mother's arms. Authorities have confirmed that Welch was not a gang member.
