Shawnette helps her son Shawnwunz'a with his homework in the living room of their apartment. Shawnwunz'a wasn't at school because he had been suspended for hitting another student. He told his mother that students were making fun of his clothes. She explains her response, "I tell him, what ever my money buys- that's what you wear.
