Christian (20) in his bed at the field hospital. He and two comrades were hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) and several fragments pierced into Christians body. The camaraderie in the army was one of the main reasons for Christian to join the war in Afghanistan. "It's difficult to explain" he says; "It's like a big soccer match. But instead of sitting with the boys in the dress room, you sitting and preparing your guns. And instead of a ball, this is with bullets."
