Exhausted after a long day of
harvesting strawberries, Eloisa (M) sleeps on the
floor with daughters Marisol (R) and Eloisa (L). Although agricultural labor
was 'cleaner' than the dump in Matamoros, the work was physically much
harder, she commented. For the first few weeks in her new job, she suffered
painful skin rashes from the pesticides used on plants.
