Girl with child at the Hazrat-i-Khawja Abdullah Ansary Shrine, a popular religious shrine for Sufism. During the rein of the Tallban, the strict form of Islam imposed forbid the practice of Sufism and was practiced underground by a few followers. Now with new religious freedoms, Sufism is growing in popularity throughout remote areas in Herat.
