"Pigeon Portraits"
Framed portraits of winning birds hang on all the walls of the Eastside Members Pigeon Racers Club in St. Clair Shores. One print reads, "1st Prize won by O. Ver Boke From Fort Wayne Indiana 147 miles on Sunday July 8th 1934." Besides betting on the race, club members - many of them born and raised in Belgium - also participate in doorprize raffles and drawings.
