"With butterflies and warriors"
DC 266.46 001 elephant relocation # III, ol pejeta conservancy, northern kenya-from the series 'with butterflies and warriors'-David Chancellor
-Wildlife rangers prepare to relocate a problem elephant from Ol Pejeta Conservancy to Meru National Park, Northern Kenya.
One of several elephants that had taken to breaking fences and therefore coming into conflict with local farmers. Elephants discover quite quickly that their tusks do not conduct electricity therefore as long as they curl up their trunks they can quite happily break down electric fences that protect farms. If they continue this then it becomes necessary to move them to an area far away from human settlement, in this case Meru National Park.
