A memorial to a farm worker who died stands at the edge of the Central Valley town of Huron. Many of the nearby fields are fallow due to the lack of water plaguing the town and the entire state of California. Nowhere in the state has been as affected by the lack of rain as the Central Valley, California's bread basket that is rapidly becoming a dust bowl.
