The tires of a stolen Afghan Unity Police truck are found to be still smoldering by the time Bravo Company soldiers arrive on the scene from FOB Goode near the city of Gardez to conduct a battle damage assessment of the targeted strike from a drone. The high-caliber machine gun mounted to the bed of the truck had been left undamaged by two Hellfire Missiles, which impacted near the truck, and was removed before US forces could secure it. Children of the area were tasked with the removal of the weapon system and with tossing Molotov Cocktails into the vehicle to destroy any possible evidence left by insurgents.
