"Adrift after newtown"

Mark Barden weeps as he recalls memories of his slain son, Daniel, in Newtown, CT on May 23, 2013.  There is no new normal or family routine other than getting the kids to and from the school bus each day.   Between those hours, Mark and his wife Jackie slog through the day, check email but not cell phone calls, and try and think of what they can do to keep their son's memory from slipping out of reach.  Neither has returned to work and neighbors and the community have remained steady in supplying meals, lawn care and helping out with home repairs.
