I think it was mom who called me to let me know Nick was in the hospital, that he had one of those spasms that was uncontrollable; ones where Dad use to have to lay on top of him to stop Nick from hurting himself because his body would thrash uncontrollably. I rushed to the hospital just to be there. I know it'll comfort them to know I've dropped what I'm doing to come down. It turns out his blood sugar had gone too low and caused him to go into a sort of shock that caused the spasm. That's what the emergency room doctor is saying anyway.
