The daughter of Kamal (the man in the previous photo) lies dying as a man squeezes oxygen into the lungs of this 8-year-old girl - she was fatally wounded by a the machine gun of a regime jet at the Karm Al-Aser neighborhood of eastern Aleppo. The skies of this northern city were again filled with the sound of aerial bombing and artillery fire as casualties (both civilian and Free Syria Army soldiers ) mounted throughout the day on the first day of combat following a U.N. negotiated truce (which was not respected by either side). Regime snipers inflicted heavy casualties on Free Syria Army forces as both sides launched attacks on each other.
