"THE SIEGE OF ALEPPO"
A Free Syria Army soldier (FSA) runs through "no man's land" under a billow of smoke at the Karmel Jabl front on October 31, 2012. Both FSA and civilian casualties mounted during the day as combat resumed after a U.N. - negotiated truce (which was not respected by either side). Regime snipers inflicted heavy casualties on Free Syria Army forces as both sides mounted attacks on each other. The skies of Aleppo were again filled with the sound of aerial bombing and artillery fire.
