"THE SIEGE OF ALEPPO"
Kamal, the father of an 8-year-old girl who was fatally wounded along with his son Hamed (sitting at left on background), cries while being treated in a local hospital in a rebel-controlled area of Aleppo. The family was wounded by the machine gun of a regime jet at the Karm Al-Aser neighborhood of eastern Aleppo as the skies of this northern city were again filled with the sound of aerial bombing and artillery fire as combat resumed following a U.N. negotiated truce (which was not respected by either side). Regime snipers inflicted heavy casualties on Free Syria Army forces as both sides launched attacks on each other.
