"PARLAY - A PORTRAIT OF MAN AND HORSE"
Dick Taylor leaves the barn to train CC Heartistry in Westfield, IN, on Thursday May 20, 2010. Although unable to drive in races anymore, Taylor, the photographers grandfather, still drives the horses he trains every morning, and will likely continue to do so until he is physically unable. "Horses to me are unique and challenging, and they give you a purpose to keep going on with life. Every one of them's a little different and you keep hoping that every one of them is gonna be a little better. Hopefully I'll know more about a horse tomorrow than I do today. I've tried to do that all my life." |
