"PARLAY - A PORTRAIT OF MAN AND HORSE"
Dick Taylor handles the lines as he heads to the track to train in Westfield IN, on Wednesday June 29, 2011. Taylor has been involved with horses his entire life, as his grandfather was a horse trader and his father a harness horse trainer and driver who at one time held a world pacing record. "Really it's kind of old fashioned but you get away and have a horse right in front of you. Set in there behind him and be able to get out slick at the head of the stretch and go by him and nobody behind can get up to you. That'd be how I like to race a horse." |
