"Kona Honu"
KAILUA-KONA, HI - OCTOBER 8: A green sea turtle, also known as "honu" by local Hawaiians, swims under thousands of triathletes preparing to start the swim leg during the the 2016 IRONMAN Triathlon World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii on October 8, 2016. Known as a symbol of longevity and good luck, the honu's are protected and revered in the Hawaiian culture. The competitors in the Ironman World Champs must complete a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile marathon run within a 17 hour cutoff to be considered an "Ironman".
