"Despite similarities to reality"

Lieutenant Colonel Beaudoin, the battalion commander of the 1-506th, flies in a Blackhawk helicopter on a battlefield circulation mission to one of the combat outposts occupied by soldiers under his command. An enlisted soldier one pointed at a helicopter and told me that this was the difference between us and them, that the Army can and will spend $20,000 in fuel to move 12 guys across the battlefield. The name, Blackhawk is derived from that of a Native American tribe defeated by generations past.
