Honorable Merit for Online Web Page Editing Categories:
This was a significant year for POY with the introduction of four new categories for Online Web Page Editing of non-linear visual content. In the original "Call for Entries," POY acknowledged that the judging would rely on interpretation by the jury members. Accordingly, POY encouraged the jury to conduct an analysis of the submitted content, rather than a traditional "judging." The jury panel's mission was to recognize the very best online visual editing with the freedom to interpret category boundaries and platform distinctions. The result of this first year is that the jury and POY director agreed to recognize a plateau of meritorious online visual editing with the distinction of "Honorable Merit" rather than traditional 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
