"Flight from Rage: Conflict in the Central African Republic"
Absata, an elderly and infirmed Muslim woman, uses a cane to help navigate a room inside the Catholic church that has offered her protection since the town's Muslim population came under attack at the beginning of the year. Only 19 Muslims remain in the city that once had more than a thousand and those who remain have little option to leave. Many fled to surrounding countries for refuge as recent violence has left them threatened and vulnerable.
