"Flight from Rage: Conflict in the Central African Republic"
A young child was one of hundreds of Muslims desperate to escape the violence that has racked the country in recent months. They hoped to flee to neighboring Cameroon on a convoy of trucks that originated in Bangui, the capital city of the Central African Republic. The overland journey took two days and at times was under threat from "anti-balaka" militia members who have been targeted Muslims. “It’s them. It’s the Muslims,” voices screamed from a checkpoint on the outskirts of the city. “We’re going to cut them up.”
