In the sewing workshop of the Watoto Living Hope Centre women listen to an early morning prayer before starting their day. For many of these former abductees, the program not only offers an opportunity to develop skills that will allow them to start their own business but also answers their prayers by providing comprehensive care for HIV/AIDS. Most recent estimates suggest that there are more than one million people living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda but recent advances in treatment mean that many of these women are able to live longer and more productive lives.
