Children sleep in the living room of a home on the Pine Ridge Reservation. There is a massive housing shortage on the reservation, while at least 60 percent of structures are substandard and infested with potentially fatal Black Mold. Most homes have numerous families living in them far exceeding bedroom space. The Pine Ridge Reservation sits in the poorest region in the United States.
