In an effort to mobilise the public support for ensuring the Kashmiris' participation in final decision making on Kashmir dispute, Malik along with his supporters including prominent Front leaders under the mass contact programme Safar-e-Azadi (journey for freedom) have visited more than 6,500 villages, organising over 445 rallies across the valley. Safar-e-Azadi started on May 20, from Kokernag in South Kashmir.
