Bangkok, March 14 - May 19, 2010. Images captured during violent clashes between security forces and red-shirt anti-government protesters at rallies organized by the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship. This violence has now made the contemporary history of Thailand political. More than 90 people were killed and 1500 injured during protests, security operations and riots, which included more than 30 arson attacks in the capital.

Red Shirt supporters of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra have dug in at their encampment, protecting themselves with a bamboo barricade during their ongoing protest to oust the government. The army have vowed not to let the protestors move warning that they will use decisive measures to get control of the streets of downtown Bangkok.
