Nimatullah, 20, is paralyzed from the waist down after he was shot in the spine by U.S forces 2 and a half months ago October 14, 2009 Kandahar, Afghanistan. The story according to a family member is that he was told to stop but didn't understand and was shot in his village of Pashmul. Nimatullah just had another operation on October 6th and is currently hospitalized at Mirwais hospital. 2009 was the deadliest year in terms of civilian casualties in Afghanistan ever since the start of the U.S.-led war against Taliban in the country. The Taliban are now staging suicide attacks and IED blasts in densely populated areas to create a bigger impact as more of Afghan's war wounded hit the headlines. Relations between Afghans and the American and NATO forces have become more fragile with every passing day.
