"Military Camp"

On the 3rd of November 2004.-after a 135 year old tradition-the institution of conscription and the conscripted army ceased to continue. Conscription is no longer part of Hungarian military obligations, so nostalgia towards the army can be sensed intensely This nostalgic way of thinking can be felt that much, so military camps are organized for children.. Not to mention the wide aspects of experience parks or business trainings where the notion of military style has become more and more common. For some of the people military style is just fashion grandeur, while for the extreme right it is a part of mental and physical training. Military "survival" or army camps have become very trendy. The only problem is that in Hungary, these kinds of camps and military trainings can be organized by anyone. There is no law for the organizations; the only one is the prohibition of live arms.

This spacious latitude not only keeps alive hobby soldiers or clubs, where the members act military, but also helps the extreme right organizations to acquire the military technology and ability-which is part of the ideology. One of these associations-where the members call themselves national socialists - in one way nazis - a skinhead fellowship is just going to hold a meeting under the code words such as: military discipline and comradeship. This was advertised as a 3 day sport camp where scrimmage can also be found. We have to be apt for the fact that extreme right organizations will run for state sponsorships in the future.

The Military Traditional Association in Mogyorod has been organizing military camps for children since 3years, which has become international by now. The aim of these camps is to let children know how soldiers passed their weekdays decades ago. During this week children can acquire the knowledge which was taught the soldiers in the month long basic training. The camp dwellers take part in shooting exercises of course with dummy ammunition.
