The monotonous sound of a hammer hitting a rock fills the quarry. Everybody else takes a break but one older man with homemade shin protection just keeps going and going. This man is working as a coolie in a quarry in Tamil Nadu, India. If he keeps this up for the rest of the day and tomorrow too he will have made a little over two euros.
