On Sunday morning after we spent one day with Ricky
(28), he passed out and could not be woken up until the next morning. It
seems that he has been up for several days without sleeping up to this point.
Meth users can stay awake for many days at a time, and sometimes weeks Ricky
has been a Meth user for several years and was severely burned in November of
2004 when the Meth Lab he was operating with a few of his friends blew up and
resulted in more than 40% of his body burned. He is still struggling with the
pain of the burns and does not go out of the house much. He says that he is
not using the drug anymore and that his life changed after the accident, but
his sisters say he is still using Meth.
