"Searching for Purpose"
'I am a recovering addict, ' said Sandra Payne. 'I'm
searching for my purpose now. Maybe it is to help other women. I want to do
something to help someone. You can't forget where your blessings come from.
If we all forgot who would be left to help the other person along?' Payne
said. She lost everything to her addiction- her home, her family, her job,
her car. She is on the road to recovery, once again employed, and trying to
help others by giving back at the Shelter of Flint and helping them not make
the same mistakes she did.
