Before falling ill, Margaret Nampijja, 29, of Kampala, Uganda made her
living buying and selling clothes and shoes. She
has three daughters and a son, two of her daughters are HIV positive.
Bedridden, she has sores in her throat and a rash that covers her body and
she struggles to speak. Yet she says she has hope. She pleaded for
anti-retroviral treatment, but did not have access to it. She died one month
after the photo was taken.
