A forensic policewoman stands over a body in one of the busiest places in the capital — the San Salvador Central Market-on Sept. 25, 2019. The victim was handcuffed behind his back and shot at around 10:30 in the morning. Witnesses told authorities they had heard at least seven shots fired. Although the authorities do not know the motive of the crime, they do not rule out that gangs are involved in the case, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported.
